With The Block a now distant memory, it was news and current affairs time to shine with the category dominating viewing habits last night.
Eight of the 10 most watched shows on Monday were either news or current affair, interspersed only by 10’s Have You Been Paying Attention? (sixth) and Home And Away (eighth).
This is how last night’s top 10 ran according to OzTAM metro numbers:

Seven won the night with 29.8 per cent audience share (all channels). Nine rued The Block’s end, it managed just 22.7 per cent. 10 had 20.3 per cent, the ABC had 19.5 per cent and SBS did 7.6 per cent.
Over at Seven, The Chase had 565,000 and Bride And Prejudice pulled 575,000 and The Rookie did 376,000.
10’s Amazing Race had 651,000 and The Project did 462,000.
Nine’s other doers included RBT (472,000) and Hot Seat (419,000).
