10’s current affair quiz show Have You Been Paying Attention? was the best performing non-news show of the night, netting 749,000 viewers as per OzTAM’s metro data.

It beat Lego Masters at 734,000 viewers, A Current Affair at 730,000 viewers and ABC News at 664,000 viewers.

On top overall was Seven News with 1,056,000 viewers, followed by Nine News with 1,039,000.

In another upset, Big Brother beat MasterChef in the reality tv wars, scoring 638,000 viewers to 623,000.

In MasterChef the amateur cooks had to battle with pasta, though presumably not the store bought spaghetti and Coles own brand pesto kind. Over on Big Brother, Nick was tragically sent home after an alliance was betrayed. Cue the dramatic music.

The rest of Seven’s night had Home and Away with 604,000 viewers while The Chase had 592,000.

For 10, The Project had 521,000 viewers while 10 News First had 371,000.

Over at Nine, Hot Seat scored 477,000.

Finally, for the ABC, 7.30 had 581,000 viewers, Australian Story had 484,000, Media Watch had 389,000 and Four Corners had 359,000.

Seven Network won overall with 27 per cent of the daily share, just beating out the Nine Network which had 26 per cent. Network 10 was third with 22 per cent, followed by the ABC Network with 15 per cent and the SBS Network with seven per cent.
