In news that should come as surprise to no one, The Block won Monday night and handed Nine the bragging rights for the evening.
Interestingly, the ABC’s Monday night of current affairs resulted in a dead head with Ten’s Survivor/Have You Been Paying Attention? combo.
Nine snared 31.1 per cent of last night’s eyeballs. Seven had to settle for 24.2 per cent. Ten and the ABC tied with 19.2 per cent apiece and SBS took home 6.3 per cent.
The Block (1.092 million) did the damage for Nine and was the most watched show of the night. Other standouts for the network included its 6pm news (a neat one million), ACA (869,000), Doctor Doctor (667,000) and Hot Seat (537,000).
Seven’s best was its 6pm news (1.061 million), Home And Away (655,000), The Chase (631,000) and Meghan And Harry: The Next Chapter (358,000).
Have You Been Paying Attention? was down a bit on previous outings, but was still Ten’s pick of the night with 744,000. Other highlights for Ten were Survivor that enjoyed its best night of 2018 with 732,000 and The Project with 549,000.
The ABC’s night of current affairs ran thus: Four Corners (755,000), 7pm news (733,000), Australian Story (718,000), 7.30 (647,000), Media Watch (627,000) and Q&A (455,000).
SBS’s best was 24 Hours In Emergency that limped to 183,000.
