MediaCom Retains Queensland Government Account

MediaCom has just announced that it is continuing its fifteen-year relationship with the Queensland Government as the sole media supplier for all campaign and non-campaign requirements.

The account win follows a highly competitive pitch following Queensland Government issuing an open tender to the market in May 2018.

MediaCom’s new remit now combines campaign, non-campaign and recruitment requirements and is for the provision of strategy, planning and buying services for all media.

MediaCom’s relationship with Australia’s third-largest state government account will now also address non-campaign requirements.

MediaCom Australia & New Zealand CEO Willie Pang said: “We’re thrilled to be continuing our highly successful partnership with Queensland Government into its fifteenth year.

“Throughout our tenure with Queensland Government, we have continuously propelled them forward.

“In response to their tender, our offering showed a unique combination of technology, data, insights and understanding of behaviour change.

“I couldn’t be prouder of our team”.

The appointment is effective 1st March 2019.

MediaCom’s latest effort for the Queensland Government, in association with Maverick and PPR, is dubbed “End your unhealthy relationships”, challenging Queenslanders to reflect on their own unhealthy habits and consider ending just one.
