MEC Promotes Jenny Pham To Managing Partner Melbourne Following 205 Per Cent Billing Growth

GroupM media agency MEC has promoted Jenny Pham to managing partner of its Melbourne office following 12 months of significant growth.

MEC Melbourne opened its doors in November 2014 with GE Money and GE Capital as foundation clients, growing steadily over the past 12 months with the addition of Tigerair, Michelin, Combe and Nestlé Health Science.

Pham has been leading the office since it opened as business development director, and now steps up to the post of managing partner. She has over 11 years’ experience in the media industry, with eight of those years spent with GroupM.

Prior to launching MEC Melbourne, Pham was director at GroupM sister agency Mindshare Sydney, leading an implementation planning and buying team across offline and online media channels on clients including MLC, Lenovo, Dyson, InterContinental Hotel Group, Cisco and Boheringer Ingelheim.

MEC Melbourne is the fourth office within the MEC stable that takes in Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane. In line with GroupM’s commitment to gender equality, Pham is one of two female agency heads, joining MEC Brisbane managing partner Jane Sullivan.

MEC Australia CEO James Hier said, “Jenny has proven herself as an exceptional leader and she has very quickly been able to build robust relationships and a strong MEC presence in an established market.

“Her promotion is well deserved and I am confident that under her leadership MEC Melbourne will continue to flourish and deliver valuable return on investment for MEC clients.”

Speaking of her appointment, Pham added, “It has been a whirlwind 12 months in which we have enjoyed a welcoming reception in the Melbourne market.

“Now that we are firmly established here, our focus will be on aggressive business growth while continuing to deliver effective solutions and innovative campaigns for clients.”
