MasterChef Announces Return Date And Shares Tasty Sneak Peek

Network Ten has made the very exciting announcement that MasterChef Australia is not just ‘coming soon’ but will finally return to our screens on the very near date of Sunday May 1.

Airing at the prime time of 7.30pm, MasterChef season eight promises to bring better food, more tear-jerker stories, more inspiring contestants and probably higher ratings, particularly after its finale last year pulled over two million.

And if the ads, where every famous chef under the sun calls it the best food show on earth, are anything to go by, it’s going to be another bloody fantastic season.

Catch a sneak peek here and contain your squeals of excitement.

Everyone’s favourite foodies Matt Preston, George Calombaris and Gary Mehigan are returning to the kitchen, with Shannon Bennett back as guest mentor throughout the series.

Season eight of MasterChef Australia will also feature its usual round-up of the world’s most impressive chefs, from Marco Pierre White and Heston Blumenthal to Curtis Stone and Maggie Beer, as well one saucy lady who’s only starred on the show once before – we’re looking at you Nigella!

MasterChef Australia premieres on TEN on Sunday, 1 May, at 7.30pm and continues Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 7.30pm.
