Australian men’s lifestyle publisher Man Of Many has opened entries for its annual list of the 100 best products of the year, allowing brands, distributors and agencies to put their products forward for the first time.
The Man Of Many 100, first published in 2019, recognises products across ten categories, including tech, cars and motorbikes, watches, drinks, style, grooming, health and fitness, outdoors and travel, home and living, and food and kitchen.
For the 2026 edition, eligible products must have been released or newly available in Australia between 1 November 2025 and 31 October 2026.
Man Of Many co-founder Scott Purcell said opening entries would give products from smaller Australian brands the same opportunity to be considered as major global launches.
“Our editors test hundreds of products a year, and the best ones don’t always come from the biggest brands,” Purcell said.
“Opening the list to entries means a great product from a small Australian brand gets the same look as a global launch. The entry fee buys a fair hearing from the editor who covers that category. It never buys a place.”
Brands will pay $500 plus GST per product, per category, with every submission assessed by the editor responsible for that category before being shortlisted and debated by the wider editorial team.
Products will be scored against seven criteria, with price-to-performance carrying the greatest weighting at 35 per cent, followed by build, innovation and user experience.
Alongside the 100 honourees, Man Of Many will also name Breakthrough Brands, with a focus on smaller and emerging businesses, and Category Finalists.
The publisher is also promising every entrant a judging report after publication, outlining its score against each criterion and its performance against the anonymised field in its category.
Man Of Many said its commercial team would not have access to editorial scores or shortlists, while editors would retain the ability to recognise products that were not submitted through the entry process.
The 100 honourees will feature on Man Of Many’s website, social channels and newsletter, with the list also informing gift guides and buying guides throughout the year.
Purcell said the list was designed to help readers make informed purchasing decisions, rather than simply recognise the biggest brands or launches.
“Readers come to us to find out what is actually worth their money,” he said. “That is the only test the 100 applies. Most entries won’t make the list, and that is exactly what makes the seal worth having for the ones that do.”
Recognised brands will have the option to license the Man Of Many 100 seal for packaging, retail, ecommerce and advertising for 12 months from publication. Licensing will only be offered after the final list has been decided.
Entries are open now and close at 11:59pm AEDT on Friday, 27 November. Judging will take place from 30 November to 4 December, with recognised brands notified under embargo on 7 December.
The Man Of Many 100 will be published on Thursday, 10 December 2026.
