2GB’s hugely popular NRL Continuous Call Team, hosted by Ray Hadley, Daryl “Big Marn” Brohman, Mark Levy and Mark “Piggy” Riddell, will broadcast the State of Origin game across Macquarie Radio Network’s (MRN) News Talk stations and regional stations.

The Continuous Call Team show kicks off at 7.00pm EST tonight, with the live game broadcast commencing at 8.10pm from ANZ Stadium at Sydney Olympic Park.

“The Continuous Call Team is an institution among NRL fans and now listeners across Australia can hear the country’s best NRL commentary team call the incredible contest that is State of Origin,” MRN chief operating officer Adam Lang said.

“Following the landmark national Budget broadcast by Ross Greenwood earlier this month, this State of Origin broadcast is a new network program opportunity. Our recent merger has enabled MRN to bring together the best radio talent in the country and this is another broadcast initiative with many more to come.”

The broadcast will be heard on 31 stations across the country.

The show will be networked to other stations including in NSW: 2CC (Canberra), 2NM (Muswellbrook/Hunter Valley, 2EC (Batemans Bay/Bega), 2ST (Nowra, Shoalhaven and Highlands), 2XL (Cooma), 2GN (Goulburn), 2LT (Lithgow) and 2BS (Bathurst).

In Queensland, stations include 4VL (Charleville), 4DB (Dalby), 4HI (Emerald), HOT 1611 am (Emerald), 4ZR (Roma), HOT 1611 am (Roma), 4SB (Kingaroy), 4LM (Mt Isa), 4BU (Bundaberg), HOT 1611 am (St George), HOT 1611 am (Goondiwindi), 4AY 873am (Innisfail/Tully/Mission Beach), KIK FM 88.7 (Mareeba/Atherton Tablelands) and 4LG (Longreach).

The broadcast will also include coverage into New Zealand on Radio Sport, Papua New Guinea on FM 100, and throughout remote Indigenous communities in central Australia on CAAMA and throughout remote northern Queensland’s Cape York on Black Star Network.

More than 2.3 million listeners tune into a Macquarie Radio Network station every week. The Continuous Call Team is the number one NRL broadcast in the country and has been heard on 2GB and 2UE since 1987.
