Kurt Holloway Appointed As Sales Director – Sparcmedia Australia & New Zealand

Sparcmedia is delighted to announce the appointment of Kurt Holloway as Sales Director of Sparcmedia, for its Australia and New Zealand agency and direct advertiser business.

Holloway joined the company earlier this year as part of Sparcmedia’s ANZ business growth plans. He initially came on board as the Victorian State Manager, opening up the business’ Melbourne office and hiring key foundation staff in that territory. The business there now has five employees and manages a selection of independent media agency clients and direct brands.

Holloway has been instrumental in launching the business into the Melbourne market and has been able to win a significant amount of business in that location in his short seven month tenure. His focus is on driving client success and building the programmatic, data and insights capabilities; future-proofing their businesses and helping them to build a new revenue stream through Sparcmedia’s Xtend partnership offering.

This move was a natural transition for Kurt to take his leadership skills across the broader ANZ business and lead the client services and business partnership teams, following the earlier promotion of Stacey Delaney from Sales & Marketing Director to Managing Director of the Agency and Advertiser business.

Holloway joined Sparcmedia from News Corp where he had most recently led the Victorian arm of its digital marketing services and programmatic division, News Xtend.

Holloway said: “It’s an exciting time in the media industry with agencies and advertisers making the shift from traditional to digital media. It’s even more exciting to lead this change as we continue to transform our client’s businesses by establishing strong partnerships to build their programmatic, data and insights offering. The focus for the coming months will include expansion into new markets and new hires to lead the change.

Stacey Delaney, managing director (Agency and Advertiser Business) said: “Kurt has been a fantastic hire for the Sparcmedia business and has proved himself invaluable to us as a senior leader. He has built a fantastic culture in Melbourne and has been instrumental to the roll-out of our data and insights offering. His next chapter is looking very promising where he will focus on driving our client success story and expanding our Australian and New Zealand markets
