Independent PR agency Kate & Co. Publicity and Events has announced the appointment of Kate Evans as group account director.
Evans (pictured above), who will be based in Kate & Co.’s Melbourne office, brings over 20 years’ experience to the team, having worked across a range of in-house and agency roles in the retail, fashion and lifestyle industries.
She was responsible for launching Japanese apparel retailer UNIQLO into the Australian market and has previously held national PR manager roles at Sportsgirl and Target.
In addition, Evans has extensive account director experience at some of Melbourne’s most credible and well-known agencies.
Kate & Co. has also appointed two new account coordinators, Elif Yilmaz in Melbourne and Isabella Cummins in Sydney.
Yilmaz previously worked with Mecca Brands, the Public Relations Institute of Australia and Chrohn’s & Colitis Australia.
Cummins will join Kate & Co.’s Sydney team on Monday 23 July, having previously worked at 22 Management.
She brings to the team extensive experience in talent management, having represented a range of celebrities, media professionals, broadcasters, entertainers and social influencers during her career.

The agency has also seen a number of recent internal promotions, including Melinda Griffith to account director (Melbourne), Jennifer Norris to account manager (Sydney) and Morgan Haynes to account executive (Melbourne).
Furthermore, Kate & Co.’s talent management arm, The Co Collective, has welcomed Sarah Yarwood to the Melbourne team in a permanent talent manager role.
