Kylie Minogue has finally spoken about her legal battle with Kylie Jenner over the trademarking of ‘Kylie.’
The legal battle kicked off because in 2015 Jenner tried to trademark ‘Kylie.’ However, Minogue was already using her own name to hock plenty of goods from wine to fragrances, so naturally she contested the trademark.
Ultimately Minogue won and Jenner was unable to claim the trademark ‘Kylie.’
Minogue has never spoken about it, but she finally shared her thoughts on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live, she said: “It was just business!”
Minogue added: “I’ve spent a lifetime protecting my brand and building my brand so it was just something that had to be done.”
She also clarified that both Kylies, “came to an agreement.”

Thankfully, there’s a big enough space in this world for both Kylies to have empires.
