Ipsos has appointed Lifeng Liu as chairman and CEO, Asia Pacific and China (APAC). In this expanded role, Lifeng will lead the newly formed APAC region, which brings together Asia Pacific and Greater China under a single leadership structure, alongside his current position as chairman and CEO of Ipsos in Greater China.
Recognised for his exceptional commercial acumen and deep understanding of markets and clients, Lifeng will leverage his extensive leadership experience to drive growth and deeper integration across the region.
Lifeng has been a pivotal part of Ipsos’ leadership for over 20 years. Under his leadership as chairman and CEO of the China Region since 2017, Ipsos in Greater China has significantly strengthened its position and achieved remarkable progress. Prior to his current role, he held several senior leadership positions within the company, including CEO of Asia Pacific from 2011 to 2016 and CEO of Greater China from 2007 to 2010.
This appointment is part of Ipsos’ ongoing efforts to simplify its organisation and strengthen the execution of its Horizons strategy.
“Lifeng will now apply his proven leadership and commercial acumen to the region as a whole. By bringing these markets together we will create a more integrated organisation with greater opportunities to align priorities and support clients operating across the region. Over the coming weeks, Lifeng will spend time with leaders across APAC to deepen his understanding of the market priorities and their client needs,” commented Kelly Beaver, chief executive officer of Ipsos.
Hamish Munro, current CEO of APAC, will move to a global role.
“Hamish Munro has been appointed global head of local client organisation. Hamish has made a significant contribution to our business across the APEC region over many years, and I am delighted that we will continue to benefit from his experience, client focus and leadership in this new global role,” Beaver said.
“I am honored to lead the newly unified APAC region at such an exciting time for Ipsos,” commented Liu on his promotion.
“Bringing Asia Pacific and Greater China together presents a tremendous opportunity to build an even stronger organisation. Over the coming weeks, I look forward to spending time with leaders across the region to deepen our understanding of market priorities and client needs, and to work together to deliver exceptional value.”
The appointment is effective immediately.
