IPG Mediabrands’ Ros Allison has left her role as MANGA’s head of product and innovation, the latest senior executive to be made redundant following Omnicom’s takeover of IPG Mediabrands.
Allison led product and innovation at IPG Mediabrand’s investment and intelligence arm, Magna Global. This included media market intelligence, pricing, accountability, client value delivery and trading innovation, as well as developing agency media systems, data, adtech and software commercial negotiations.
Former Magna Global managing director Lucy Formosa-Morgan was one of the first casualties in this market of Omnicom’s takeover of IPG Mediabrands.
In early December, her role was made redundant in the days after the takeover, following IPG Mediabrands CEO Mark Coad, APAC boss Leigh Terry and CFO John Clements through the exit door.
B&T understands the remaining Magna Global team will be redeployed throughout the Omnicom business.
Earlier this month, Omnicom made Kinesso chief product officer Andy Holford redundant.
Allison confirmed her departure via LinkedIn, describing it as “the end of an era”.
“Being part of the IPG Mediabrands and MAGNA Global team has been a genuine privilege. I’m so proud of the results we drove, the change we created and the capability we’ve built for the Omnicom future,” she posted.
“Thanks to my powerhouse of a team, and the incredible support of our agencies and partners. For now, I’m starting a postgrad in AI, open to opportunity, and keen to explore what my next chapter looks like in this industry I love.”
Omnicom confirmed the departure, but declined to comment.
