Introducing B&T’s Newest Event: Women Leading Tech

We’re changing things up in 2020. For the first time, B&T will be bringing you Women Leading Tech Awards, a new event to celebrate and recognise all the fantastic female technologists that have permeated the media and communications industry.

You might be a little confused… but hear us out.

Media and the wider communications industry is now defined by technological innovation. Programmatic is a driving force for global ad spend, data is a critical resource for any marketing team and digitisation has forever changed the way content is shared and consumed.

It’s a crazy time and those that can’t innovate are being left behind.

Behind these innovative ideas and agile strategies are real people. These people are super talented, extremely resourceful and are creating a better future for the entire industry.

But gender bias is still a problem for some of the female technologists working in this exciting space.

That’s why we’ve partnered with Google to deliver Women Leading Tech in 2020.

As part of the celebration, we will be giving out a few awards to recognise some of the fantastic female leaders in our industry.

For our inaugural year we will have 10 categories:

  • Entrepreneur/Founder
  • Executive Leader
  • Product
  • Engineering
  • Data Science
  • Design
  • Sales
  • Marketing
  • Mentor
  • Advocacy

We invite you to nominate yourself, show your colleagues, tell your friends and share it online.

It’s not just an awards event however. Join us for a Gala Luncheon where you will hear from a host of inspirational speakers (watch this space).

The inaugural Women Leading Tech event will take place on 8 April 2020 at Linseed House, The Grounds of Alexandria, 7a/2 Huntley St, Alexandria.

Nominations open and tickets go on sale today.

We’d love to hear from you and look forward to celebrating all the fantastic women that are leading tech with you in 2020.
