One of Western Australia’s largest advertisers, Lotterywest, has selected Initiative as its media agency for the next 12 months.
Lotterywest provides Western Australians access to play a range of lottery games and actively hands out millions of dollars to lucky lottery winners each week.
State Government owned and operated, Lotterywest is also unique in Australia using the funds raised from the sale of lottery games, to support the Western Australian community through its grants program.
These grants support State and local government authorities in the health, sports, arts sectors, as well as hundreds of not-for-profit organisations across the State. Last financial year Lotterywest gave $260 million back to the local community in grants and over $463 million in prizes to local lottery winners.
Luke O’Sullivan, head of Initiative Perth, said, “We are honoured to be awarded the Lotterywest media portfolio. It’s one of WA’s most high-profile and respected brands through the popularity of its lottery games and its 86-year history of financial support for vital elements of the State’s development which contribute to building a better WA.
“We are truly looking forward to bringing our full skill sets and foresights to this new partnership,” said O’Sullivan.
Initiative Perth has commenced its new role effective November 1st. It follows a review of media services on the State Government’s Common User Agreement (CUA).
