An innovative multi-channel communications campaign for NSW Farmers has won three Gold Standard Awards in Hong Kong overnight – a record for the prestigious awards program.
The ‘Get the Whole Picture’ #Farmers4LandReform campaign created by Melbourne-based Icon Agency, won Gold Standard Awards for Digital Communications, Corporate Communications and Government Relations.
Beating over 300 entries from some of Asia’s largest PR networks, Icon was recognised for its integrated approach and use of social and digital media to transform PR outcomes.
Rod Clausen and Ed Bechervaise, Icon’s joint creative directors, said, “At the heart of the campaign is a transformation message to inspire change and new behaviour. It’s part of a creative philosophy we apply to everything we do – challenging perceptions, breaking conventions and opening people’s minds to possibility.
“It’s an integrated approach that’s not only proven itself in market, it’s attracting clients who are looking to the future and want to be ready for what’s coming.”
Managing director Joanne Painter added, “To win three Gold Standard Awards was nothing short of amazing. And then to hear that we shared in three Victorian Marketing Awards for our work with ME was incredible.
“Awards are not about the agency. They are about the relationship and trust that agencies build with clients – and the license great clients give us to do exceptional work. In NSW Farmers and ME Bank we are lucky to have found clients who want to share their journey with us.
“As an agency we believe passionately in working integrated and executing multi-channel. What these awards show is that we’re helping to define international best practice for our clients and our industry.”
