Hyundai & INNOCEAN Take Aim At EV Buyer’s Remorse With New ‘Unregrettable’ Campaign

Hyundai’s latest campaign via INNOCEAN, wants Aussies to know that its range of electric cars are utterly unregrettable.

In the rush to buy an electric car, many Australians have discovered that their new EV doesn’t live up to expectations, as Australia now tops the world for EV owners considering a switch back.

That’s the thinking behind Hyundai’s ‘Unregrettable’ campaign, which has showcased the automotive brand’s electric range.

Created by INNOCEAN Australia and in collaboration with director Kyra Bartley from Cousin, the campaign launched with a hero film featuring EV owners crooning to their Hyundais to Nat King Cole’s classic ‘Unforgettable’, reimagined as ‘Unregrettable’.

“Buying an electric car is a purchase that you should feel good about, not remorseful. Our range of electric vehicles makes the decision to go electric easy, because they’re born from 35 years of EV innovation and have won countless global electric vehicle awards,” said Hyundai senior manager brand and produce marketing Hayley Phillips.

“Hyundai owners feel a special pride about their electric cars, with the help of Nat King Cole and Kyra Bartley we bottled that feeling in the form of a melody,” said Innocean group creative directors Benn Sutton and Neil Walshe.

The campaign kicked off during the footy finals and has rolling out across film, digital, OOH and social.
