Hola Health, Australian on-demand virtual GP consultation platform, has appointed Matt Poulier to its Chief Marketing Officer.
The appointment follows a period of rapid growth for the Woolworths-backed telehealth company. Hola Health now serves more than one million customers across Australia and has delivered over two million telehealth consultations nationwide, all while maintaining an average wait time of under 15 minutes.
Poulier joins Hola Health with 20 years’ global marketing experience across high-growth scale-ups, ASX-listed businesses and leading creative agencies, with a track record of building brand-led growth engines and scaling multi-market teams. Most recently, he served as global head of brand and creative at Employment Hero, leading brand strategy, social, content and creative across ANZ, Southeast Asia, the UK and Canada, and helping scale the global function from 10 to more than 30 people.
Prior to this, Poulier was head of brand and creative at Cashrewards, where he built the brand marketing function from the ground up, shifted the organisation from performance-led to brand-led growth, and supported membership growth from approximately 800,000 to more than two million customers.
Poulier said his decision to join Hola Health was both professional and personal.
“Healthcare has always been close to home for me. My late father was a GP, so I grew up seeing first-hand the impact that accessible, high-quality care can have on people’s lives. I’ve also had my own experiences navigating the healthcare system, which reinforced how critical timely access to care really is,” he said.
“What excites me about Hola Health is that it is already delivering care at real scale, while still being genuinely patient-first. Reaching milestones like one million customers, more than two million consultations, and partnerships with household names such as Woolworths, Bupa, HotDoc, and Cricket Australia shows the trust Hola has built. I’m excited to help elevate the brand and ensure that as Hola continues to grow, it remains trusted, human and easy to access for the people who need it most.”
As CMO, Poulier will lead a step-change in Hola Health’s marketing capability, with a focus on brand elevation, clearer positioning and scaled partner and enterprise growth, while continuing to drive strong performance outcomes.
His key priorities include: building a distinctive, trusted healthcare brand with creative and messaging that travels across channels; strengthening product and category leadership across GP consults, mental health care plans, prescriptions, referrals and follow-up care; and scaling lifecycle, measurement and brand effectiveness models to support sustainable growth.
Hola Health was recently announced as Cricket Australia’s official digital health partner, supporting elite athletes and broader cricket communities with on-demand healthcare access.
Lenin Rajendran, CEO and co-founder of Hola Health, said Poulier’s appointment supports the company’s next phase of growth.
“Matt brings rare experience at the intersection of brand, growth and scale. He has built high-performing teams, led complex multi-market brand strategies and delivered measurable commercial impact. As Hola Health continues to grow our consumer brand and deepen partnerships like Cricket Australia, Matt was the clear choice to help us build a category-defining healthcare brand.”
Poulier takes the reigns from Andy McKeon who departed the organisation last year.
