Hogarth Australia has today announced its appointment of Barney Howells as content creative director, overseeing the company’s new national creative offering.
Howells arrives with a wealth of experience and essential skills in creative production, having previously lead Sportsbet’s internal production team, as well as consulting brands in-housing their creative capability.
He has also worked in traditional and in-house creative functions, having been instrumental in creative leadership and production.
Howells will now play a key role in enhancing Hogarth’s content capabilities, elevating production outputs and moving the creative conversation up the pipeline.
He will also work alongside the newly appointed content team, and will help drive sustainable growth for Hogarth’s clients.
“We are continuing to build a highly capable and skilled content team that play a fundamental role in increasing Hogarth’s capabilities, lifting our level of craft and producing outstanding creative,” said Hogarth Australia national content director, Iain Todd.
“With Barney joining the Hogarth fold, he will bring the experience of a new world creative working for a
huge array of brands that will enable us to do just that.”
Howells said joining Hogarth at such an exciting time of growth was a “rare privilege”.

Howells starts his position as content creative director from mid-January next year.
