Hireup an online platform for clients with disability to find and hire their own support workers has announced Jason Chuck as the organisation’s first chief commercial officer.
Most recently Chuck was the chief consumer officer at Domain, previously he was the vice president of international and managing director at eHarmony.
Drawing on his experience in building two-sided ‘matching’ platforms, Chuck has been brought in to play a crucial role in helping Hireup expand its impact for people with disability and their families.
Chuck’s appointment comes off the back of Hireup announcing a $40 million funding and strategic partnership with SEEK Investments.
Chuck said: “After spending the last 8 years focused on the home and property industries, it’s time for a big shift to follow a personal passion of mine,”
“Hireup isn’t just a pureplay digital platform, it’s a highly trusted, reliable service provider which supports more than 10,000 people with disability and their families each year.
“The connections Hireup facilitates are truly life changing for people, and the potential to do more is something I’m tremendously excited to become a part of.
“The scale and reach of the NDIS, a $30bn nation building project, which now covers 500,000 people – means there’s never been a more exciting time for the Australian disability sector.”
Jordan O’Reilly, Co-Founder and CEO of Hireup, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Jason to the Hireup family.
“As a respected and valued leader with extensive experience in some of the world’s leading marketplace businesses, I’m confident Jason will be pivotal to ensuring Hireup is able to fulfil its potential in reaching and offering services to communities throughout Australia.”
Jason’s addition is further evidence of Hireup strengthening its executive leadership team, with the recent additions of Ryan Moffat (ex Thoughtworks managing director) as senior director of Technology and Victoria Lee (ex Boston consulting group principal) as senior director of people and culture.
