Amazon and Harris Farm have joined forces on a new partnership, with the online retail giant now able to deliver the grocer’s wares to more than 80 suburbs in Sydney with same-day and next-day delivery.
This milestone marks the first time fresh food is available on Amazon.com.au, with same-day and next-day delivery options, in addition to more than 55,000 non perishable grocery items and everyday essentials already available on Amazon.
The service launches in select post codes in Sydney’s Inner City and Inner West and surrounding suburbs from Double Bay to Lakemba and Rhodes to Rockdale, with plans to expand across the Sydney metro area this year.
Orders made on Harris Farm’s Amazon storefront are delivered same-day or next-day by Amazon Flex delivery partners within scheduled two-hour delivery windows.
To celebrate the launch, customers will receive $10 off their first Harris Farm order of $100 or more with the code 10HFMFIRST. Harris Farm Markets on Amazon orders have a minimum order value of $50.
“Australians told us they wanted fresh groceries delivered fast, and we listened. Now they can get Harris Farm’s quality fruit and veg at their door the same day they order. Everyday Essentials is one of our fastest growing categories in Australia, and we’re thrilled to add Harris Farm’s exceptional range of fresh produce and artisan products to our selection, enabling eligible customers to do their complete grocery shop on Amazon. Harris Farm shares our commitment to quality and supporting local suppliers, making them the ideal partner as we bring fresh grocery delivery to Australian customers,” said Arno Lenior director of prime for APAC.
Prime members will receive free shipping on Harris Farm orders $100 and over, and non-Prime members will receive free shipping on orders over $200.
Customers pay only for their groceries and applicable delivery fees – no service or bag fees.
“Harris Farm Markets has spent more than 50 years building trusted relationships with farmers and producers so we can bring customers the freshest, best-quality food with a more market experience and service that is genuinely local,” said Angus Harris co-CEO of Harris Farm Markets.
“We’re excited to team up with Amazon. They share our passion for putting customers first, and their logistics expertise helps us get more of the good stuff to more homes, more reliably. It also helps us stay responsive in a highly competitive grocery segment, without compromising on what we’re known for – top quality products at great value. More customers can now order from Harris Farm, and have it delivered to their door, and we’re looking forward to growing the reach of our offering as this partnership evolves.” he added.
At launch, orders will be fulfilled from Harris Farm’s Leichhardt store, with Amazon Flex delivery partners providing last-mile delivery using insulated and chilled packaging to maintain product freshness and quality throughout the delivery process. Additional Harris Farm stores will be added throughout the year, expanding the reach of their service to more Sydneysiders.
