At this year’s B&T Women in Media Awards, presented by Are Media, Hannah Mansur was recognised with the Business Support Award, celebrating her transformative impact during her time as chief of staff at Mamamia.
Far from working quietly in the background, Mansur’s time at Mamamia saw her bridge content, commercial, and product teams, turning strategy into meaningful cultural change.
A standout achievement was revitalising Mamamia’s dormant LinkedIn presence into a thriving B2B channel, not only amplifying the brand’s industry influence but also creating a platform for staff to proudly showcase their work. This shift encouraged women across the company to embrace self-promotion in a supportive, celebratory environment.
Equally groundbreaking was her leadership of AI for Basic Btches, Mamamia’s AI upskilling program. Designed to strip away barriers of confidence and accessibility, the initiative equipped every department with practical training and tools, unlocking efficiencies while sparking a culture of innovation.
Chatting with B&T after her win, Mansur said: “The highlight from my time at Mamamia was working with all the incredible, smart women there. It’s just been the most incredible experience. I’m just so grateful to be able to get to do so many different things. I’ve had so many different jobs in one place without having to leave”.
Since the awards judging, she has stepped into a new role at Canva, bringing her skills and vision to another iconic Australian brand.
Mansur has taken the clarity and alignment that guided her in her role at Mamamia into this new role.
“It’s always about thinking, what’s going to make people understand what it is you need them to do? What’s the goal that they’re focusing on? Why are we all pointing in that direction, and what’s their specific role in making that happen?”.
Beyond Mamamia, Mansur has amplified women’s voices through her work on the Women in Media NSW Committee, shaping programs and events that strengthen the industry.
