As any good jobseeker knows, you need that extra bit of ‘zing’ in the old application to stand-out from the maddening crowds.
And one young American copywriter has gone above and beyond and released his very own rap video in his attempt to score a creative writing gig with soft drink brand Sprite.
Dismissing the typical cover letter-and-resume approach, Texan Chase Zreet (above) has filmed a wonderfully catchy three-minute rap vide to spruik his wares to his potential future employer. Check out Zreet’s top effort below:
Dressed in Sprite’s familiar yellow and green and with a lemon dangling from his neck, Zreet drops some series rhymes including: “I’m Chase and I really like to murder briefs, and the reason why I’m sticking with the urgency, is I’m really trying to write some copy with some currency.” And, sadly, no, B&T doesn’t know if he landed the job.
