Grant Broadcasters Makes Several Changes To Senior Executive Team

Independent media company Grant Broadcasters has announced a number of changes to its executive ranks.

Grant Cameron will move up to become non-executive chairman for the company, and Alison Cameron (pictured above) – currently the chief operating officer – will assume the CEO role.

Dugald Cameron remains responsible for the family’s investment portfolio and is an executive member of Grant Broadcasters’ board. The company’s previous longstanding chairperson, Janet Cameron, continues to be an active board member.

Speaking at a recent management conference, Grant Cameron said: “It has been a privilege to lead Grant Broadcasters and play a part in growing the company into one of Australia’s largest independent media owners, with over 50 radio stations across regional Australia.

“The time is now right for us to look to the future to ensure we continue delivering great local content and evolving successful commercial solutions for our clients.”

Recruitment for a new COO has commenced, with Korn Ferry being appointed to aid the Grant Broadcasters board in filling this key management position.

“This is a critical role within our organisation,” Alison Cameron said.

“We are after someone who is familiar with creative content, commercial sales, digital capabilities, as well as finance and engineering. Most importantly, we are after a leader who can help grow and develop our 700-plus employees across regional Australia.

Grant Broadcasters said in a statement that its management changes will be finalised when a new COO has been appointed and a thorough and extensive transition period has been completed.
