Are you a Pokémon fan who has always wanted to see what it’s really like inside a Poké Ball? Well now you can sleep in one.
A new Poké Ball-Themed Hotel (a human-sized sleeping pod) in the shape of a Poké Ball has launched in the middle of a forest in Japan.
The pod has been created in a new campaign in partnership with Japanese hospitality brand NOT A HOTEL, in an undisclosed location.
The sleeping-pod turns the familiar red-and-white sphere into a place where people can actually spend the night. While details are scarce, what we do know is that the Poké Ball-Themed Hotel will be “somewhere in Hokkaido,” Japan’s northernmost prefecture which boasts some of the lushest forests in Japan.
Poké Balls are frequently conceived as comfortable places for Pokémon to rest, and now humans can experience just how that feels due to the combination of technology and architecture.
However, only a select few will get to experience the one-off sleeping-pod.

This isn’t the first time a brand has turned an iconic charachter or shape to into a real life object, with the recent example of a hilarious food truck in the US shaped like The Laughing Cow’s wedge of cheese rolling around the streets of Minneapolis, Bentonville and Nashville.
Reservations are scheduled to open on 15 September.
