Google unveiled a new corporate structure August 10, 2015, creating a parent company dubbed Alphabet led by chief executive Larry Page, with the Internet search unit as one of several entities. In a surprise announcement, Page said Alphabet will be the umbrella company for the tech giant's research arm X Lab, investment unit Google Ventures and health and science operations, as well as the search unit Google, whose CEO will be current vice president Sundar Pichai. A seven-year-old girl from the UK had written a letter to Google’s CEO applying for a job because her dad told her she can “sit on bean bags and go down slides and ride go karts in a job in google”.

Chloe Bridgewater, who lives in Hereford, UK, sent this letter to the Google boss:

In a strange twist of events, Google CEO Sundar Pichai sent a response back saying he “looks forward to receiving your job application when you are finished with school! :)”

The full post reads:

“After seeing images of Google offices with their bean bags, go karts and slides my 7 year old daughter decided to write to Google to see if they would give her a job. She lost a great deal of confidence after being knocked down by a car a couple of years ago. However, to say she is delighted after receiving this letter signed by Sundar Pichai himself is an understatement.

“She is now even more eager to do well at school and work for Google. Can’t thank such a busy person enough to take time out to make a little girl’s dream become one step closer, although not sure she’s fully aware that it’ll take more than riding go karts and sleeping in pods to make it with Google.”
