Google is working on a new job website that is set to rival LinkedIn and could provide prospective employers with access to your search history.

According to The Sun, Google Hire will allow employers to find and manage job applicants, and might reveal a little too much about their new recruits.

The website for Google Hire is already live, offering the option of using your personal account by prompting you to “sign in with Google”, but for now, it only redirects you back to the homepage once you try to sign in.

However, while it’s unclear clear what sort of searches Google Hire could make about potential applicants, it appears the job tool will be available through your personal Google account, in which case it will link your search history and YouTube account with your job applications, exposing it all to employers.

So, if you don’t want prospective employers to see all the X-rated content you’ve been viewing online, it might be time to hit the ‘delete’ button before they have a chance to find out your dirty secrets!
