Gillette Opens Movember With Hilarious Cricket Spot Starring Skipper Pat Cummins Via The Many Australia

For Movember, Gillette has showcased the power of the mo with a hilarious cricket campaign featuring Australian skipper and Gillette ambassador Pat Cummins. Titled ‘Your Mo Is Calling,’ the campaign encourages Aussies to start November clean-shaven and grow their moustaches to raise funds and awareness for men’s health via The Many Australia. 

Gillette, a shaving brand and official Movember partner, is proud to support the Movember movement with the tools to start your mo journey right including a shave utiling Gillette Labs.

With a proud history of supporting men’s mental health and deep roots in the cricket and sporting field, Gillette’s partnership with Cummins brings a meaningful touch to the movement, blending humour, nostalgia and purpose. In the hero film, Pat pays homage to classic looks from the Australian cricket team from the past few decades. He faces off with iconic cricket moustaches in the mirror, from Merv Hughes’ legendary handlebar to Boonie’s bushy classic and Travis Head’s modern flair, to help inspire and encourage men to shave down this Movember.

“Gillette is proud to stand alongside Movember in championing men’s mental health. As the official shaving partner, we’re here to help Australians start their Movember journey with confidence. Partnering with a national sporting icon like Pat Cummins, we want to inspire men across the country to grow their Mo and make a meaningful impact” said Vanessa Zhu, brand director for Gillette.

“As a professional athlete, staying sharp—both physically and mentally—is essential. You can’t perform at your best without looking after both. That’s why Movember’s message really resonates with me. It’s a great way to get behind men’s health, spark important conversations, and have a bit of fun along the way. Partnering with Gillette again felt like the perfect fit—starting Movember clean-shaven then growing a mo or doing the move for mental health challenge is a small thing that can make a big difference.” added Cummins.

For every Gillette Men’s product purchased at Coles in November, 50 cents will be donated to Movember to help change the face of men’s health.
