Geely Auto Australia launched the Geely EX2 electric car in Australia at Sydney’s The Cutaway, Barangaroo on Wednesday 5 August.
The Geely EX2 launch was the first commercial launch event to be held at The Cutaway and the first specialised auto industry car launch. Proposed and produced by Bastion, a member of Geely’s Agency Village, the event was situated within Barangaroo’s carbon-neutral precinct.
Bastion Experience elevated Sydney’s newest landmark venue with a curated launch experience, featuring a runway showcase that highlighted the Geely EX2’s key innovations, an immersive audiovisual production, food and beverage experiences, entertainment and crafted content moments.
The Geely EX2 features a range of design finishes, six colour options, rear-wheel drive and technology typically found in larger SUVs, bringing plenty of features to the small-car segment.
“A bold, defining statement for the launch of the Geely EX2 was required. The Cutaway is more than an event space – it is a cultural precinct which aligns perfectly with the launch of this fantastic new car,” said Geely Auto Australia marketing director Beryl Thomas.
“Hosting Geely’s EX2 launch as the first automotive reveal at The Cutaway was a proud milestone for our team. It showcases the venue’s extraordinary versatility, its place within Barangaroo’s sustainable precinct, and the expertise of our professionals, who deliver every event with precision, care and world class execution,” said ICC Sydney CEO Adam Mather-Brown.
