Gartner has announced the findings for its coveted Magic Quadrant for Digital Experience Platforms for 2021, with different vendors coming out on top.
Gartner’s magic quadrant ranks technology solutions based on their ability to execute and the completeness of vision.
According to Gartner, “A digital experience platform (DXP) is a well-integrated and cohesive set of technologies designed to enable the composition, management, delivery and optimization of contextualized digital experiences across multi-experience customer journeys.”
Of the 16 vendors that were evaluated against Gartner’s framework, Adobe, Acquia, Episerver, Sitecore and Liferay managed to appear in the top quadrant.
Adobe was placed furthest to the right for “completeness of vision” and was the highest when it came to “ability to execute”.
“We believe our defining brand value – that Adobe changes the world through digital experiences” – clearly plants the flag for CXM,” Adobe said in a statement.
“We also believe that Adobe is the top thought leader for CXM in the industry. Adobe Experience Platform integrates data from all available sources with the content that makes up amazing experiences.”
Adobe pointed out that it believes it has managed to create an effective CXM platform through its investment into Personalization, Data Management, Cross Channel Campaign Management, Orchestration, Email, Content Management and other categories.
Notable ‘challengers’ included Salesforce and Oracle, both of which fell short when it came to the completeness of vision.
