AI-powered creative agency 2045 has snagged three new hires from leading agencies, as the business continues to grow.
Charlie Brookes has been appointed associate creative director, joining from DDB / Clemenger BBDO, where he led some of Australia’s most recognised campaigns.
“I joined 2045 for the same reason I join anything; there’s a pub within walking distance. Turns out it’s filled with talented and ambitious people, what luck,” he said.
Connie Platania joins as senior business manager from Dentsu, bringing experience across integrated client leadership and commercial delivery. “Why did I join 2045? Relocating to Melbourne to join a growing agency with real momentum and creative ambition, at a time when independents are redefining the industry.”
Stella Tsakiris joins as senior designer from Sunday Gravy, adding to 2045’s world-class design capability. “2045 has that dark horse energy, pushing the standard, doing things differently, and the industry is noticing.”
The appointments reflect a broader shift in talent moving toward modern indies.
Founder Tim Evans added, “We’re not shy about the expectations at 2045. Yes – everyone wears black, so we provide a clothing allowance. Yes – we expect people to care about the work, so we invest in fun via ski trips, and ownership via Growth Shares. 2045 isn’t for everyone, and we’re proud of that. Holdcos are brilliant training grounds, so when you’ve finished Ritson’s mini-mba, hit me up.”
Alongside the hires, 2045 continues to build momentum across its client portfolio, which includes Bupa, L’Oréal Group, OpenTable, Pernod Ricard, and the NFL, combining senior creative capability with its proprietary “Headless AI” model to impact scale.
The three hires will be based in Melbourne.
