With Sydney sweltering through one of the hottest summers on record, Etihad Airways recently dispatched its cabin crew from Abu Dhabi to offer Sydneysiders some welcome respite from the heat.
Carrying eskies filled with ice-cold treats, the cabin crew took to the streets of Sydney’s CBD, Newtown and Rushcutters Bay, handing out white chocolate and rosewater-flavoured ice-creams made specially for the keep-cool mission by Gelato Messina.
The airline captured on video the surprise-and-delight moments when its cabin crew brought welcome relief to over-heated Sydneysiders, and to a lucky few, the news they’d won a great prize.
In addition to tickets to performances at the Sydney Opera House, one lucky person won tickets for themselves and a friend to Abu Dhabi, while another two winners received a pair of tickets flying Etihad Airways to London.
