Emotive has promoted Sebastian Revell to chief strategy officer after just one year with the creative agency.
Revell brings 16 years of experience to the role, having built his career across both Australian and UK markets.
Most recently, he served as head of strategy ANZ at TBWA\Media Arts Lab, where he led strategic direction across a portfolio of high-profile clients including Apple, AWS, Tourism New Zealand, and mycar Tyre & Auto.
Revell replaces Michael Hogg who served as a managing partner and chief strategy officer at Emotive from 2020 until his departure to serve as TBWA\Australia’s CSO last year.
His appointment to the top strategy role reflects the agency’s confidence in the impact he has made since joining, not only in the quality of the work, but on the broader culture and direction of the business.
“I am proud to be promoted to chief strategy officer at Emotive, but I’m mostly proud to have known and received guidance from the leaders below who have helped me get here,” Revell said in a post to LinkedIn.
Emotive chief executive Simon Joyce credited Revell with raising the bar across the agency.
“He has had a massive impact on the business. Not just on the quality of the thinking and the work, but on the culture, energy and ambition of the place. Putting it simply…. he makes the work better and he makes Emotive a better place work,” Joyce said.
The promotion has added further senior leadership depth to Emotive as the independent agency continues to grow its strategic offering.
