The saga surrounding Em Rusciano continues, with the embattled breakfast radio host reportedly called into a meeting with 2Day FM management.
Rusciano and her manager met with the Hit Network’s head of content, Gemma Fordham, following her breakfast show on Friday morning, with co-host Ed Kavalee also in attendance, according to The Daily Mail.
Southern Cross Austereo declined to comment when contacted by B&T.
Adding to the saga, Rusciano accused Sydney media of attempting to do a “hatchet job” on her in a Facebook post on Friday, which has now been deleted.
“Guys, thank you for your concern over the hatchet job some of the Sydney media are attempting on me, but this time last year I was burying my son. If I can survive that, I can certainly get through this,” the post said.
Rusciano has been in the firing line of late, with one ex-staffer of 2Day FM claiming the host isn’t well-liked at the station and “makes it a toxic work environment”.
It’s also been reported that a number of staff who work on the 2Day FM brekkie show were calling it quits due to a poor work environment, with some declining to work alongside Rusciano, while tensions are understood to be running high between her and Kavalee.
Meanwhile, B&T has heard on the grapevine that Ash London has already been chosen to replace Rusciano, which SCA has refused to confirm or deny.
