DoorDash Teams Up With The Australian Open In Multi-Year Partnership

DoorDash has signed a deal with the Australian Open which sees them become the official on-demand delivery partner in a multi-year agreement.

Bringing together two of Australia’s most recognised brands, the multi-year partnership will enhance how fans experience the AO, combining the tournament’s world-class food and beverage offering with DoorDash’s innovative delivery technology, whether they’re soaking
up the atmosphere at Melbourne Park or following every match from home.

DoorDash will take over the Golden Hour Bar on Grand Slam Oval, creating one of the precinct’s most sought-after viewing destinations where fans can settle in, stay put and have food delivered to them.

In an Australian Open first, patrons at the bar will be able to order directly from a selection of food vendors via DoorDash technology. This exclusive delivery feature allows fans to skip the queues and maximise their time enjoying the AO atmosphere.

DoorDash will also drive the broader food and beverage experience as the Presenting Partner of AO on the GO – the tournament’s grab-and-go convenience platform – with its branding featured on vending machines and carts, while DoorDash staff engage fans across the
precinct.

Tennis Australia’s chief commercial officer Cedric Cornelis said: “Food and drink has become a much anticipated staple of the Australian Open experience. We are making it easier than ever for fans to enjoy the precinct on their own terms.”

“The introduction of DoorDash delivery at Golden Hour Bar on Grand Slam Oval is designed to give fans more choice, more convenience and more time to enjoy the action.”

Simon Rossi, vice president DoorDash APAC added: “The Australian Open brings together world-class tennis and some of Melbourne’s most exciting food, and we’re thrilled to help fans enjoy more of both,”

“At the Golden Hour Bar, we’re bringing delivery into the tournament experience, making it more convenient for fans to enjoy food from across the precinct without leaving the bar.”

Fans across the precinct will experience DoorDash everywhere they look, from on-court virtual signage and LED gates to concourse screens and digital wall animations.

For those tuning in from home, DoorDash will also roll out exclusive Australian Open offers and promotions, making it easier than ever for fans to enjoy their favourite meals without missing a point.
