Dolly Parton’s Ode To The Grind, ‘Nine To Five’, Is The Second Most Played Office Song According To New Spotify Research

according to Spotify data analysed by Pure Property Finance, Parton’s 1980 hit was the second most featured song on office playlists.

Number one was ‘Crazy’ by Gnarls Barkley.

Pure Property Finance analysed 100 Spotify playlists with ‘office’ or ‘work’ in the title to reveal which songs, artists and albums were most commonly featured.

The top ten songs featured on these playlists were:

1.  Crazy – Gnarls Barkley

2.  9-5 – Dolly Parton

3.  Home – SEVENTEEN

4.  Senorita – Justin Timberlake

5.  The Middle – Zedd

6.  Heaven – Bryan Adams

7.  Stay – Zedd

8.  Diamonds – Rihanna

9.  Kiss You – One Direction

10. Shake it Off – Taylor Swift

 A real range there, and shout-out to the person who wants to listen to Zedd’s dance tracks while filling in excel spreadsheets. 

Taylor Swift, with her extensive catalogue of albums, was the artist that is featured the most. ‘Shake it Off’ was the highest featured song of hers at the number 10, the perfect tune to blast after a work presentation gone wrong.

The top artists in the list were:

3.  Justin Bieber

4.  Bruno Mars

5.  Luke Bryan

As for albums, Madonna takes home the most commonly featured album with her ‘Celebration’ album, released in 2009. If you can’t be on a dancefloor, why not play Queen Madge in the office we say!
