Destination NSW Pitches PR Account For Vivid Sydney

PR agencies with a “creative edge and experience in delivering strong media results” have been invited to pitch for the PR account of light, music and ideas festival Vivid Sydney.

Destination NSW is undertaking a request for quote and proposal for PR activity and services for Vivid Sydney 2019 from 1 January 2019 to 30 June 2019, with an option from 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020.

Red Agency is the incumbent on the account, having been appointed to it back in 2016.

According to an agency brief posted online on Friday, Vivid Sydney requires a PR agency to assist in driving additional maximum positive earned media coverage and building intention amongst consumers to visit the world-renowned event next year.

Proposals are due by 9am (AESDT) on Monday 26 November, and agencies are asked to apply if they can deliver a “strategic, fast-paced, content driven and results-oriented communications campaign”.

A shortlist of agencies will be invited to pitch on Thursday 29 November 2018, with pitches to take place at Destination NSW headquarters in Sydney on Wednesday 5 December and Thursday 6 December.

Destination NSW expects to finalise contract negations and appoint an agency in the week commencing Monday 10 December.

Attracting 2.25 million attendees in 2018 and generating more than $172 million in visitor expenditure for the NSW economy, Vivid Sydney 2019 will be held from 24 May.
