Content agency Storyation has announced three new hires including Peter Gearin (right in photo) as senior content specialist.
Gearin is the founding managing editor of Marketorium, a website for B2B marketers in Asia-Pacific.
Prior to that Gearin was the first commercial editor for Fairfax Media (now Nine Entertainment) responsible for managing brand-funded strategic publications and special projects.
He was also content director for the publisher’s first native advertising product and has been both managing editor and sections editor of the Sydney Morning Herald, the Sun Herald and smh.com.au.
Gearin will work across clients including NRMA, Energy Australia and the City of Sydney.
Lauren Quaintance Storyation co-founder said: “Peter is one of the leading journalists-turned-content marketers in Australia and our clients will benefit enormously from his experience.”
The agency has also hired Nick Banks (left in photo) as a sub-editor and Takuto Arakawa (middle of photo) as junior designer.
Banks was previously deputy editor of both Virgin’s in-flight magazine and Toyota’s Go Places magazine and has been a digital copywriter for Harvey Norman.
Arakawa is a recent graduate of the Billy Blue College of Design at Torren University.
Quaintance said: “We’re thrilled with the calibre of staff that we continue to attract to Storyation in what is a period of rapid growth for the agency.”
