Chinese automotive group Chery will introduce its premium Exlantix brand to Australia in 2027, adding another name to its growing local portfolio as competition in the market continues to intensify.
Exlantix will initially bring two models to Australia including the ES GT wagon and ET large SUV.
The announcement was made at an event in Shanghai, where attendees were shown right-hand-drive versions of the two incoming vehicles.
Known as Exeed in China and some other international markets, the brand will use the Exlantix name in Australia and New Zealand. Its local range will focus on with electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.
The ES GT is a wagon, while the ET is a large SUV, giving the brand two different entry points into Australia’s premium vehicle market.
Australian specifications and pricing have yet to be confirmed.

Exlantix’s arrival forms part of a broader expansion by Chery, which has been building its Australian presence through multiple brands targeting different segments. Its existing local operations include Chery, Omoda, Jaecoo and Lepas, with iCaur and Freelander also slated to join the market in 2027.
Earlier this year, Chery announced that it was the fourth best-selling auto group in Australia.
The growing portfolio reflects a wider shift in Australia’s automotive sector, where manufacturers are introducing new brands to appeal to distinct audiences.
The 2027 launch will give Chery an opportunity to build awareness of a new name among Australian consumers, while establishing what distinguishes the marque from other brands in its expanding stable.
The introduction also adds to the growing presence of Chinese automotive brands in Australia, with new entrants competing across electric, hybrid and conventional vehicle categories.
Further details about Exlantix’s Australian range, including pricing, specifications and the precise timing of its launch, are expected closer to its local arrival in 2027.
