Carsales Promotes Priya Kanniappan To Marketing Leadership Role

Carsales has today announced its appointment of Priya Kanniappan as new group marketing director.

Kanniappan (featured image) has been a long-time stalwart of the carsales team, and will now lead the company’s Australian marketing division, reporting directly to carsales Australia managing director, Ajay Bhatia.

“We’re very pleased to announce Priya’s appointment,“ said Bhatia. “carsales has a philosophy of building and promoting talent from within and Priya is a prime example.

“We were extremely impressed by the calibre of applications for the role but Priya’s experience, innovation and strong appreciation of what makes carsales Australia’s number one made her the clear choice.”

Kanniappan was formerly carsales’ GM of consumer marketing, leading the group’s digital, brand and partnership teams.

Kanniappan will now head carsales Australia’s full marketing effort including a growing emphasis on trade and B2B.
