CarAdvice.com has appointed leading automotive journalist Joshua Dowling to its editorial team.
Dowling joins CarAdvice in the newly created role of national motoring editor, reporting to managing editor Trent Nikolic.
After almost two decades as a motoring editor in the general news space for both News Corp Australia and Fairfax, Dowling is widely regarded as one of the most experienced and esteemed motoring journalists in Australia.
Nikolic said: “We are extremely excited to have Josh join the CarAdvice team.
“Motoring journalists with a nous for breaking industry news and issues are few and far between these days and Dowling’s reputation and respect within the industry will be a great boost for the company.
“As the leading publisher of new car news and content in Australia, Dowling’s appointment further demonstrates CarAdvice’s commitment to providing consumers with the country’s most comprehensive automotive coverage,” Nikolic added.
Dowling’s appointment consolidates the CarAdvice editorial team as one of the largest in the industry with 14 full-time in-house motoring journalists based in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, as well as a small group of freelance journalists covering the local and international industry.
Dowling will be based in CarAdvice’s Sydney office and takes up his new post on December 17.
