Canon Australia has today become the first official Imaging Partner of Sydney Zoo.
The two-year partnership will see the two experience-led organisations bring to life a variety of on-site and digital platform photographic and creative print activations; each with the purpose of extending the creative and educational experiences of every guest to Sydney Zoo.
From Friday, 26 June 2020 onwards, Canon’s unique photographic experience team, the Canon Collective, will host beginner to intermediate level wildlife photography workshops to help visitors take their creativity and skills to the next level.
“The Canon Collective program offers workshops and experiences for photographers and content creators of all levels to help them take their skills to the next level and our partnership with Sydney Zoo is an exciting addition,” said Canon Australia general manager consumer experience, PR and communications Andrew Giles.
“Our experiences will allow participants exclusive access to zoo areas and of course the ability to use high-end Canon gear to make the most of the opportunity to create stunning images of the world’s most incredible animals in an environment dedicated to education.”
Taking place across Fridays and Saturdays, the Canon Collective workshops will offer participants exclusive and intimate access to photograph Sydney Zoo’s most popular animals before doors open to guests. Hosted by a Canon Collective Ambassador, the interactive photographic experiences will also offer participants access to the latest Canon cameras, lenses, and camera accessories, while connecting them to a network of like-minded people.
“I’m pleased to welcome another global brand in Canon as an official partner of Sydney Zoo. Canon, like ourselves are passionate about making a difference in the local community, and this multi-year partnership will give enthusiastic photographers and animal-loving families the chance to capture and create fantastic memories which will last forever,” said Sydney Zoo partnerships manager Gary Bevan.
