Campaign: The Brand Agency Showcases UWA’s Role In Perth Arts Festival

The Brand Agency, Perth has created a 45 second commercial to promote The University of Western Australia’s unique role in the foundation of Perth International Arts Festival.

“One idea back in 1953 was the catalyst for what has become an internationally acclaimed arts festival” said UWA’s chief marketing officer, Karen Carriero. “We’re very proud of our association with the Festival but we realised that not everyone may be aware of it.”

The commercial, called ‘One Spark’, will appear at Lotterywest Festival Films and online. It is set at UWA’s iconic Winthrop Hall and dramatises the thought that one idea can spark something much greater.

The Brand Agency team of Alli Watson, Paul Michael, Liam Donnelly, David Arns, Gemma Kay and creative director Craig Buchanan created and produced the ad. Alli Watson directed the film with DoP Mick McDermott. Post-production special effects were created by Boogie Monster and Brainestorm was responsible for sound design.
