Streetfighter Media gave away thousands of fresh red roses to audiences across three capital cities for Live Nation’s announcements of the Bruno Mars Australian tour.
People swarmed to collect their free rose, many of whom indicated they wanted to give it to another person. People took photos and selfies, and some shared the experience online.
The campaign logistics included sourcing the real roses; de-thorning; wrapping each rose in the album cover art; tying a card and ribbon to each rose; and distributing to audiences on the ground across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane simultaneously. The distribution was accompanied by a music playing The Romantic, Bruno Mars’ most recent album.
“Swapping traditional promotion for a sensory, interactive and unique experience gave fans a genuinely fun moment to share both in person and online. Playing Bruno Mars’ new album whilst handing out physical roses on the streets created authentic joy and excitement amongst fans,” said Vince Lyster, Streetfighter Media
Additional tour dates were added after an overwhelming demand for presale tickets.
