BMF’s Paul Coles Joins DO As New Co-Owner & MD

Independent Sydney-based, creative agency, Do, has announced Paul Coles as new national managing director and co-owner.

Coles (featured image) departs his role as general manager at BMF, after nearly five years, during which BMF saw significant growth and was recognised as one of the most creative and effective agencies in Australia.

Part of his role was also leading what is arguably the most creative brand in the country, ALDI, who were named Most Effective Advertiser for three years running.

Coles will now be working alongside the founders and joins as part of the agency’s local and international growth agenda, giving the business opportunity to shift focus to expansion.

“I’m incredibly sad to leave my good friends at BMF – an agency with a big heart and bigger ideas,” said Coles.

“But the chance to become co-owner in Do was a chance to build something brilliant with a bunch of smart people, leave a legacy and do some good along the way.”

Coles has been widely recognised and awarded across the local industry.

Prior to BMF he had senior roles at both VMLY&R and M&C Saatchi agencies. Before this, he spent several years in the UK at Saatchi & Saatchi and JWT.

Do was founded in 2017, and currently boasts a client portfolio which includes MG, Hino, Best & Less, NSW Government, Caesarstone, McPhersons and Arlo – with a remit spanning both local and regional markets, including New Zealand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore and Japan.
