Blis has appointed Emma-Jayne Owens as the regional managing director for business in Australia and New Zealand.
Owens (featured image) will step into the position following the departure of Nick Ballard who leaves the role after five years with the company.
With a diverse background, working across a variety of media sectors, Owens brings a wealth of experience and understanding of the evolving media market.
Prior to this role she led the commercial function of the Australian Radio Network & iHeart Radio, with previous leadership positions at Big Mobile, Mi9 Media and Austereo.
Her expertise spans strategic, commercial and operational leadership.
Blis CEO, Greg Isbister said: “We’re delighted to welcome Emma-Jayne to lead the Blis team in Australia and New Zealand.
“She’s got incredible experience across the media spectrum and has led initiatives and partnerships with some of the world’s biggest brands throughout her career at some of Australia’s biggest media companies.
“Her knowledge of the market and vision for the future will really enable Blis to deliver business growth for customers across the region.”
Isbister added: “I’d also like to thank Nick. He has been a great leader at Blis over the years and we wish him the best of luck for the future.”
Owens commented: “I’m thrilled to be joining such a progressive data and technology business. Blis’ ambition to better understand real-life human behaviour is impressive and their global industry recognition speaks volumes about their commitment to transparency, accuracy and effectiveness for brands.
“I’m looking forward to working with the team to create more customer success stories.”
The announcement follows the recent appointment of Fionn Hyndman as managing director of Blis across Asia.
Blis has been bringing real-world intelligence to businesses in Australia and New Zealand since 2012 and Owens joins the company in its 15th year of global operations, where recent growth across programmatic has seen Blis audiences now available on social media platforms.
