Sleazy Or Harmless Fun? Ben Fordham & Grant Denyer’s Smooch To Raise Money For Flood Victims Causes Controversy

Television personalities Grant Denyer and Ben Fordham smooched on television to raise $50,000 for flood victims but the kiss has launched a fiery debate online.

Is it funny? or making fun of homosexuality?

So, how did Fordham and Denyer end up locking lips in the first place, well, The Seven Network, Nine Network & 10 Network came together and all aired Australia Unites: Red Cross Flood Appeal on Saturday night.

The programme featured our favourite Australian personalities coming together to raise money for flood victims in NSW – after so many have lost everything.

The televised event also featured Denyer and Fordham locking lips for charity and while their smooch raised over $50,000 it’s caused a rigorous online debate.

While some applauded their efforts, others raised concerns that it was trivialising gay culture or making a ‘joke’ out of men kissing.

However, in purely good news Australia Unites raised more than $25 million for the Red Cross Flood Appeal.
