Belong is proud to announce its partnership with Vision Australia Radio’s audio described simulcast of the Vision Australia Carols by Candlelight, sponsoring the program for the second year running.
The sponsorship will help support the Vision Australia Radio audio description of the Carols by Candlelight event which paints an image of transitions, movements and gestures and is woven between on-stage dialogue, enabling Australians with low vision or blindness to enjoy the event via accessible technology at live events, on television, film and on radio.
The sponsorship is further proof of the telco’s commitment to inclusivity and ensuring that all Australians have the digital tools they need to belong.
Kelly Schulz, Belong’s head of Brand, Comms and Culture, said, “Belong is delighted to be sponsoring Vision Australia Radio and its simulcast of the 2021 Carols by Candlelight. Brands have a role to play in creating experiences that are inclusive, whether it be by helping fund accessible activities and events, such as Carols by Candlelight, or by communicating in ways that are accessible for everyone.
“People experience the world in different ways, and we’re glad to be partnering with Vision Australia Radio to do our part in spreading the Christmas cheer in an inclusive way, ensuring that people who are blind or living with low vision are able to enjoy the 2021 Vision Australia Carols by Candlelight.”
Vision Australia Radio will celebrate the event with ‘Countdown to Carols’ preview shows in the weeks leading up to the annual event, featuring interviews, popular Christmas Carols from 7pm local time and the audio described simulcast of Carols by Candlelight from 8pm local time on 24 December 2021.
