Bayer has denied the reports it’s ending ties with long-term media partner MediaCom to launch a global review.
B&T reported on Friday the pharmaceutical company was poised to launch a global media review, with the reports first appearing in a Business Insider article.
However, both Bayer and MediaCom have released a joint statement denying any truth to the reports and said there will be no review for the media account.
Bayer CMO Patricia Corsi said: “MediaCom is an important partner of Bayer with a relationship spanning 65 markets around the globe.
“There are currently no plans to hold a global pitch or to terminate our relationship with MediaCom. We are focusing our energies and time on building ambitious plans for our categories and countries. Any stories to the contrary are untrue.”
MediaCom worldwide chairman and CEO Stephen Allan said: “Bayer is a longstanding and key global client of MediaCom and we are delighted to continue to work together to grow our partnership.”
