Balenciaga’s Collab With Adidas Is Going Viral For Being A Waste Of Money
High-end brand Balenciaga debuted its capsule collection with streetwear brand Adidas, and it is going viral online – for all the wrong reasons.
Fashion Instagram Diet Prada has made a name for itself by calling out fashion injustices and crimes. And it took to Instagram to share this collab and asked its followers what they thought.
Harmless, enough, but the account posted photos of ordinary Adidas alongside Balenciaga collaboration and compared the price tags. For instance, an Adidas tank dress retails for $145, and a tank top from the Balenciaga collection that looks identical retails for $1,550.
Diet Prada wrote, “The power of a logo, lol!”

Naturally, the comment section went off!
One user commented, “If you buy any of this, that is simply on you!” and another commented, “multiple thousands of dollars just for the moment when someone squints at the 1inch label asking, “oh Adidas?” and they can say “It’s Balenciaga.”
